Rescue and Rehabilitation

One of the cornerstone activities of the Atlantic Wildlife Institute is the rescue and rehabilitation of injured, orphaned, and distressed wildlife. The sanctuary’s dedicated team of wildlife rehabilitators specializes in caring for a wide range of species, from birds and mammals to reptiles and amphibians.

They mend broken wings, nurse sick or malnourished animals back to health, and provide a safe space for animals to recuperate. From rehabilitating injured birds of prey to nurturing orphaned mammals, AWI ensures that these creatures have a chance to recover and return to their natural habitats.
