Our Cow Sanctuary History and Mission

Our Cow Sanctuary was founded in 2021 by animal protection advocates Joe Bento and Veer Desikan.

Many cows are mistreated, abused, and neglected in the meat and dairy industries. Our Cow Sanctuary provides a safe haven for these animals, giving them a chance to heal, recover, and live out their lives in peace.

Free Education Programs

Our Cow sanctuary offers free visitor programs that help educate people about the cruelty and environmental damage caused by factory farming and encourage more ethical and sustainable food choices.

Conservation

Our Cow Sanctuary works to preserve endangered cow breeds and protect their genetic diversity.

In addition, Our Cow sanctuary promotes sustainable agriculture practices by using composting, natural fertilizers, and other environmentally friendly methods.

Adopt a Cow

Like most rescues, Our Cow Sanctuary has an adoption program. You don’t actually bring the cow home with you. (Although they are looking for people who can rehome some of the cows).

Instead, donors contribute to the care of a specific cow. You can “adopt” a cow for as little as $10 a day. A small price to pay for saving an animal’s life!
