How to Visit

When you get to Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Rescue in Key Largo, you’ll see six common bottlenose dolphins having fun and hanging out in their big 8,500 square foot lagoon.

Their passionate caregivers will introduce you to their dolphin family through diverse interaction programs, educational talks, tours, and casual, lagoon-side conversations.

General Admission

You can observe natural dolphin behaviors and interactions with caregivers and guests. Access unlimited viewing of our dolphin lagoons, trainer talks, and educational exhibits. They are Open Daily from 9:00am-5:00pm, except on Christmas Day.

Connect to Protect Dolphin Swim

Ticket: $249; Daily at 9:30am and 1:00pm

Deep-water interactive swim with behaviors like dorsal tow, foot push, belly ride, rubs, splashes; ages 7+ with adult, 10+ without. Includes general admission and safety briefing; 1.5-2 hours total.

Private Connect to Protect Dolphin Swim

Ticket: $325 per person (min. 3 participants); Daily at 8:30am and 2:30pm

Private lagoon for your group (max 6); same activities as Connect to Protect; ages 7+ with adult, 10+ without; includes admission & briefing; 1–1.5 hours total.

Splash & Swim

Ticket: $195; Daily at 9 AM, 12:30pm and 3:00pm

Start on submerged platform (~3 ft), touch, signal, and photo with dolphins; option for deep-water behaviors (7+ only) or stay platform-side; ages 5+ with adult, 10+ without; includes admission & briefing; 1.5-2 hours total.

Trainer for a Full Day

Ticket: $750; Daily 9:30am-3:15pm (1 hr lunch)

Work alongside trainers with dolphin care, training, vet care, cleaning, enrichment; ages 7+ with adult; $350 option without in-water programs. Program includes General Admission, Splash & Wade Program, Connect to Protect Program, Private Enrichment in Action Program, Dolphin Painting, T-Shirt & Book.

Trainer for a Half Day

Ticket: $399; Daily 9:00am-11:30am or 1:00pm-3:30pm

Behind-the-scenes care, Connect to Protect swim, training session, healthcare observation, private play; includes admission, T-shirt & book; ages 7+ with adult; $175 option without Connect to Protect program.

Snorkel with Dolphins

DPMMR offers unique “Snorkel with Dolphins” 2-day ($750) and 3-day ($1,000) seminars with deep-water swims, behavior seminars, and a dockside meet-and-greet, ages 12+/16+ without adult.

Max 6 participants; must bring mask/snorkel (fins included.) Includes facility access, seminars, multiple in-water sessions (15-20 mins each), and expert-led dolphin behavior education.

With over 40 ongoing research studies, DPMMR is dedicated to scientific exploration, from behavior and cognition to veterinary science. Their findings contribute significantly to the global understanding of bottlenose dolphins, aiding conservation efforts worldwide.

4) Rescue & Response

They’re the only rescue team in the Florida Keys for stranded whales and dolphins across 10,000 square miles of marine habitat. Their experts rush to help injured or stranded marine mammals. They aim to open a permanent hospital for their long-term care and rehabilitation before release.
