Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation

Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation (LDCRF) helps homeless animals find their way into loving homes through rescue and adoption. They focus on rescuing homeless dogs, cats, and farm animals.

Since 2001, LDCRF has saved the lives of more than 45,000 homeless animals. Moreover, most of them were facing the threat of euthanasia at overcrowded municipal shelters.

They are located at 6801 Wilson Blvd, Falls Church, VA.

Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation: Values

LDCRF was founded with the belief that through an open, friendly adoption process they could match great people with homeless pets and send those pets to their new homes without unnecessary barriers. They have same-day adoptions with two-week trial periods since 2001.

LDCRF makes a lifetime commitment to the animals they rescue. They always accept those animals back into their care should the need arise. Moreover, they continue to look for ways to remove barriers that prevent adoption.

Lost Dog & Cat Ranch

Set on 63 rural Virginia acres, the Lost Dog & Cat Ranch is a place for animals to run around and relax. Dogs are housed with compatible companions in indoor/outdoor runs. Their cat cabins are stocked with different types of cat furniture for climbing and scratching.

Cats and dogs have access to beds, blankets, play areas, and plenty of food and water. Their “Barn Crew” includes horses, donkeys, goats, pigs, longhorn steers, chickens, and roosters.

Adoption Services

They facilitate the adoption process by hosting adoption events and maintaining a network of foster homes. Every weekend, LDCRF holds off-site adoption events. They place more than 2,000 dogs and cats per year for adoption.

LDCRF is very active within the local community. They partner with local businesses and community members to hold ‘Special Adoption’ events throughout the year.
