RESQ Charitable Trust rescues, rehabilitates, and provides emergency aid to wild animals in distress in Pune, Baramati, Daund, or Nashik. They also work for wildlife protection, conservation, and human-wildlife conflict management.

They are authorized by the Government of Maharashtra to conduct state-wide wildlife rescue and run a Wildlife Transit Treatment Centre in Pune.

RESQ Centre is located at Plot No. 3906, Paud Mulshi Road, Old Jakat Naka, Near 115 Hilltown, Bavdhan in Pune, Maharashtra. Their visiting hours are from 11:00am – 4:30pm and require prior email confirmation.

RESQ assists the forest department in wildlife tracking and monitoring to safeguard both animal populations and local communities. In addition, they actively engage with communities to raise awareness and promote coexistence, underlining the vital role of harmony between humans and wildlife for a sustainable future.

RESQ Charitable Trust: Community Outreach

They conduct awareness and education programs with varied groups living in urban, peri-urban, and rural areas. They have conducted coexistence and safety awareness focused programs for over 15,000 individuals in over 50+ locations across Maharashtra.

AWARE India

RESQ has developed AWARE India, an educational initiative, built on children’s affinity for animals. The program focuses on awareness, wellbeing, animal responsibility and education for school children in urban cities.

RESQ Against Rabies

Since 2016, RESQ has been at the forefront of the battle against rabies. They’ve implemented comprehensive surveillance, utilizing data to inform strategic interventions. Canine rabies response units are deployed swiftly to contain outbreaks. Suspected cases undergo quarantine and testing, ensuring the safety of both humans and animals.

RESQ Lifetime Sanctuary Care

RESQ’s Lifetime Sanctuary Care is a refuge for both large and small animals that require a safe and loving environment in which to live out their days.

They currently provide support for lifetime care to over 1200 abandoned cows and buffaloes, 10 horses, 5 donkeys, 26 ducks, 37 goats and sheep, 3 camels and 30 dogs and cats in Pune district. Small domestics are housed at their facility in Pune where treatment and care of large animals is also done. Post-recovery, large animals are housed for lifetime sanctuary near Talegaon.

RESQ Technical Animal Rescue

RESQ’s Animal Rescue encompasses a wide array of specialized rescue operations. From high-stakes aerial and confined space rescues to challenging underground and water rescues, they possess the expertise and equipment to handle the most complex situations.

Their emergency veterinary ambulance support ensures that injured animals receive swift medical attention. Furthermore, RESQ plays a crucial role in disaster response and relief efforts. Also, they actively assisting both animals and communities during emergencies.
