PFA Durg Bhilai’s Inception
They began as an initiative to bring about change in the lives of animals that are without love, affection, and care. Aanchal witnessed the suffering of animals in different localities across Durg-Bhilai, and realized that nobody came to the rescue of these helpless creatures.
The stray animals received no medical attention, even when they were injured and dying. She decided to change this and began searching for ways to make a better impact on the lives of stray animals.

They promote animal welfare by lessening the suffering of stray animals, and to bring a positive change in their lives. Thus, PFA Durg-Bhilai was born in an attempt to allow animals the opportunity to live with dignity, in peace and harmony with humans.
PFA Durg-Bhilai’s Journey
PFA Durg-Bhilai had humble beginnings, with just 2 to 3 volunteers actively participating to work towards a better future for animals. However, their message was strong on social networking sites, where they promoted their work.
Their motives resonated with more people, and they now have a core group of over 15 individuals. They cover various areas of animal welfare, ensuring that all aspects of their well-being are taken care of.

Their efforts have been extremely fruitful in reducing human and animal conflicts, and enabling a peaceful co-existence of the different species. In fact, PFA Durg-Bhilai has had an extremely impressive journey and rescued over 3,000 animals, from birds, pigs, and horses, to cows, dogs, and cats!

PFA Durg-Bhillai’s Future Mission
PFA Durg-Bhilai has big plans for growing their cause and promoting awareness and active participation in animal welfare. They aim to build a shelter that will enable them to rescue and admit more animals for treatment. They also want to raise awareness and reduce the disparity between the number of stray animals in need of help, and the number of people willing to help.
Their efforts will involve encouraging education about the importance of animal welfare, thereby facilitating a better understanding of different creatures among different demographics. This is important to get people involved and make them understand and empathize with animals better, which is crucial for promoting peaceful coexistence.
